Linksys PAP2T Static IP Set UP:
Sometimes it becomes advantageous to assign a static IP for your linksys PAP2T adapter. Without the static IP, the linksys PAP2T adapter will obtain different IP address each time you reboot your ATA unit or your broadband router. This will demand you to find the IP address for your ATA device each time you want to interact or access your linksys ATA settings through the web admin.
Assigning static IP will also allow us to perform port forwarding on the broadband router to the linksys ATA unit. To learn more about port forwarding, please check out the "Trendnet broadband Router Port Forwarding tutorial". The linksys troubleshooting manual suggests that the UDP ports (5060, 5061, 53, 69, 10000-20000) should be forwarded to the IP address of linksys ATA unit.
